What is coordination architecture?
Coordination architecture is the structure that lets interdependent people act together: who belongs to which unit, what each unit can decide, how work crosses boundaries, and how the whole system sees what is happening.
Growth often creates a false choice between central control and complete autonomy. A better design gives small, trusted units clear mandates and usable interfaces. People close to the work can adapt locally; the wider network can still align around shared constraints, standards, and signals.
